ABOUT ME

Being a first-generation college student, I have always been an inquisitive learner who has a passion for health care and people. Overcoming adversity and hardship in my life has taught me to respect the rights and lives of patients, and to continue to enrich their healthcare journey through collaboration, communication, and evidence-based care.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

I have extensive adult-geriatric nursing background in long-term care as a director of nursing, followed by several years of home health and hospice nursing. After completing my Doctorate and becoming a nurse practitioner, I have had the pleasure of being a clinic manager, while providing primary care services. Finally, I have extensive background in Occupational Health at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where I cared for the employees, including prevention of job hazards and post injury care.

I enjoy spending time with my family and embarking on new and exciting adventures.
